Sheboygan County Bike Trail Maps

Paths on the maps that follow Hwy 23 direct bikers to the paved Old Plank Road State Trail that follows Hwy 23 from a tunnel under Interstate 43 on the west edge of Sheboygan to a point just west of Greenbush. Generally the trail is on the south side of Hwy 23 although it briefly crosses to the north side near the intersection with Hwy 67.

Northern Lakeshore Tour, 13 Miles

Great overviews of Lake Michigan with a ride right passed Whistling Straits Golf Course, home of the 2004 and 2010 PGA Championships, 2007 Senior Open and 2020 Ryder Cup. Points of interest include hamlet of Haven, Whistling Straits, Lake Michigan overlook on County Road LS “S” curve, Hika Bay.

Howards Grove Loop, 33 Miles

Ride from Sheboygan into the country around the Village of Howards Grove. Points of interest include Sheboygan County Memorial Airport Museum, Lakeland College and Jetzers Lake.

Sheboygan Falls Tour, 25 Miles

Tour historic Sheboygan Falls. Points of interest include Historic Downtown Sheboygan Falls, Settlers Park and the waterfalls of the Sheboygan River and Old Mill House.

Upper River Run, 16 Miles

Crisscross the Sheboygan River and pass through Johnsonville, Franklin and Rhine Center. Points of interest include Johnsonville Sausage, Laack’s Hall, Lakeland College and the Town of Rhine.

Northern Lakes Tour, 18 Miles

Ride to the Sheboygan County Marsh and climb the tallest wooden tower in the state. Decent climbs on this tour. Points of interest include Sheboygan Marsh and Tower, Elkhart Lake, Crystal Lake and Gerber Lake.

Hub City Tour, 22 Miles

Historical sites and the countryside. Points of interest include Sheboygan County Fairgrounds, Plymouth Arts Center, Plymouth Historical Museum, and Nichols Creek State Wildlife Area.

Kettle Moraine Tour, 34 Miles

Ride through incredible scenery. Examples of glacial formations. Points of interest include Old Wade House, Parnell Tower, Butler Lake and Terry’s Bike Shop for emergency repairs.

Southern Lakeshore Tour, 24 Miles

Visit the Sanderling Nature Center at Kohler-Andrae State Park, take a look at the Indian burial mounds and have some breakfast in Oostburg. Points of interest include Indian Mound Park and Kohler-Andrae State Park.

Dutch Treat, 20 Miles

Ride through the Villages of Oostburg, Cedar Grove and Gibbsville. Points of interest include the Phoenix Disaster of 1847 Historical Marker, Gibbsville Cheese and Gibbsville Orchard.

Hingham Loop, 22 Miles

From Hingham head south to Dacada and the Sheboygan County line. Return to Hingham and picnic beside the Hingham Mill Pond.

Fat Old Man Tour, 18 Miles

Few hills, few cars and ample opportunity for refueling along the way make this the perfect bike ride. Points of interest include Gibbsville Cheese.

Sheboygan County Century, 93 Miles

Some of the climbs in the Kettles will make it feel like a full century. This tour offers a look at the diverse landscapes and cultures of Sheboygan County. Points of interest include Sheboygan Marsh, Elkhart Lake, Random Lake and the Kettle Moraine State Forest, home of the Parnell Tower and Old Wade House.

Sheboygan Historic Neighborhoods

Explore some great old homes and parks in the City of Sheboygan’s northeast side of town. View mansions of Victorian, bungalow, craftsmen and Italianate style homes. Visit downtown 8th Street for a bite to eat. In the city, distance is optional. Ride as long as you like.

See some of Sheboygan’s past and present industrial areas. Points of interest include Wildwood and Kiwanis Parks. In the city, distance is optional. Ride as long as you like.

Sheboygan Southside Loop, 10 Miles

Check out great lakefront parks and vistas along this tour and stop in at one of the restaurants on Indiana Avenue. Points of interest include King Park, Lakeview Park, Indian Mound Park and Indiana Avenue Commercial establishments.
