Marcel Biró - Chef/Owner - Ó Restaurant

One of the youngest chefs in European history to attain the title Master Chef de Cuisine, Marcel Biró is acclaimed for winning several coveted European awards, for his accomplishments in Michelin-starred restaurants, and for his dedication to demystifying classic cuisine.  

Marcel is star of the Emmy® Award-winning, national PBS reality-cooking series The Kitchens of Biró; co-author of the 2006 Benjamin Franklin Award-winning Biró: European-Inspired Cuisine and the just-released The Kitchens of Biró: Simple SpanAsian Cuisine; and CEO and chef of Biró Internationale, an integrated cuisine company consisting of acclaimed restaurants, culinary schools, how-to media content, branded merchandise, and an international restaurant and marketing consultancy.  He has been the focus of innumerable television, radio, and print features throughout North America and Europe, including on NPR and in The Wall Street Journal, SmartMoney Magazine, and TV Guide.

Marcel has worked in leading restaurants in Austria, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lichtenstein, Spain, and Switzerland, and has consulted in 34 states and 14 countries.    His new cookware line, Marcel Biró Cookware, is sold at fine retailers and on QVC.

A 1994 graduate of the Kendall Culinary Institute of Evanston, Illinois, Rob began his kitchen career at the American Club, moving to the kitchens of the Wigwam Resort in Phoenix. In 1997, Hurrie was appointed Executive Chef of Blackwolf Run. In 1998, Hurrie opened the kitchen at famed Whistling Straits Golf Course - while still the Executive Chef at Blackwolf Run and cooking for the 1998 LPGA Women's Open.  In 1999, Hurrie opened his own New York on 8th Deli and has now opened his second restaurant, Margaux. Margaux is a restaurant with an eclectic continental cuisine combining flavors from around the world.

Stefano Viglietti is a self-taught chef who strongly believes in the re-creation of authentic Italian dishes using the best ingredients. Stefano and his staff make frequent pilgrimages to Italy in search of the next wonderfully sublime, yet simply prepared morsel, that will add authenticity and flavor to his menu items.

Trattoria Stefano opened in 1994 in Sheboygan and has been featured in Wisconsin Trails Magazine and has received Milwaukee Magazine's Critics Choice award for Best Italian Restaurant.

IL Ritrovo, a combination Neopolitan pizzeria and Italian specialty store, opened in 2000 across the street from Trattoria Stefano. IL Ritrovo recently became the fifth member of the Verace Pizza Napoletana Association, a prestigious organization based in Naples entrusted with protecting the methods and ingredients used in making the famed Pizza Napoletana.

Field to Fork, immediately next door to IL Ritrovo, is a regionally-based natural foods restaurant and specialty grocery store featuring artisan cheese and bread as well as in-house roasted coffee.  Stefano has been inspired by the quality products in Wisconsin and, as the Italians do in Italy, is determined to use the food produced by his region.

The Duke of Devon is the newest addition to the Viglietti family businesses, and is located on the Riverfront.  The Duke of Devon serves fine English ales and traditional English Pub food.
